I Bet I'm Not The Only One That Feels This Way

January 2021 is quickly coming to an end, which can be a good or bad thing depending on how it went for you! ๐Ÿ˜

Were you able to stick to your plan to make progress on your goals?

For me it was a rough month!

I missed more days than I want to admit for getting in 10,000 steps

I was lucky if I thought about having 1 glass of water, let alone 72 ounces each day

I was so exhausted and stressed that I barely had the energy to read to my little one most

nights ๐Ÿ˜ข

Working full time from home has been the norm for me since 2017 but work really forced its way into my family time more than normal these past 4 week.

My boundaries are clear but they were PLOWED over like a bull running through a fence! ๐Ÿ‚

I was frustrated, overwhelmed, and anxious most days, working longer and longer hours, skipping lunch all together, taking work calls late into the evening, and feeling stressed and anxious over the weekends. ๐Ÿ˜ฐ

This is not how I wanted to start 2021 and I PROMISE you, it's not how it's going to continue!

I bet I'm not the only one that feels this way either!

I just wasn't able to shake the anxiety and overwhelm,

but enough is enough,

and it's time to go back to basics!

But where to start?

Well, for me, it's going to look more like this:

Work starts and ends on time, if more time is needed for a project, reach out for help or

an extension.

When it's time for lunch, step away and eat... nourishing our bodies is a fundamental


Have water on hand to hydrate your body!

Working from home doesn't mean we have to always be available for work,

we have families, friends, personal goals, and other interests that need our attention and energy too! Yes, the computer is right there... BUT so is your family, your hobbies, and maybe that great book you've been dying to read. ๐Ÿ˜‰

While saying we have boundaries is great,

sticking to those boundaries takes commitment and discipline.

If you're not clear on what your boundaries are,

maybe it's time to sit down and write some out!

Go ahead, grab a pen and paper and list out some thoughts and ideas you have!

While 2020 gave us the forced slow down and space to figure out our priorities,

2021 is about truly making those priorities a reality!

Remember, time will pass, whether you are working towards your goals or not. โณ

Keep taking those small daily actions, your future self will THANK YOU!
